Received an interesting email yesterday from a mother who is asking for assistance with her daughter’s (small) school project on Egyptian Dance. My immediate reaction? ‘What a complex and obscure subject to give an 11 y/old as an end of year ‘stocking filler’. Shame that even in research and study it is mostly relegated to the side line - there is so much to be gained from viewing Egypt through their folk art. Of course I will assist – I love a challenge!
